Yes, had to change the name and password as they were already being used.  When I finally had a look at the site it was quite big, and I'm not sure how to use it. Do we still use the phone number for notifications up to 8pm the night before?  I think we need a pilot lecture on the subject.
When I clicked on the box on our homepage it said that the digital signature had an error, so I closed it.

Once you have done that then use those details to login to the application.

I did that and it came up as BHPAuser and a password already typed in, in asterisks. To confirm the password do I type in "password"?

21/10/09 - NOTAM Maps  - Thankyou to Paul Dancey from SEWHGPGC for heads up on this very useful tool.

To use first go to the NOTAM website and register a FREE account:

Then install the JAVA application from here (You may have it already installed):

Then once JAVA is installed, go to the SWWSC home page and top left next to weather links is an icon that looks like:


if you click on this the application runs and go to download - enter your username & password that you used to register at NOTAM and hey presto NOTAM information in the form of a table, map or details

As in the disclaimer from the website:

:: Notam Map ::        A Java application to decode, filter, plot and view UK notams            Notam Map is an application designed to take Preflight Information Bulletins (PIBs)     published by the UK Aeronautical Information Service of the National Air Traffic Service (NATS)     and to provide alternative means of presentation for the benefit of the pilot.     
     The standard published format of the notam is not particularly easy for the     human reader to interpret quickly and more significantly, the task of identifying which are relevant to one's flight     from a long list is both time consuming and error prone.     
     Notam Map solves the problem by providing the user with the ability to filter out irrelevant bulletins and to decode and present the remainder in alternative views. In particular an attempt is made to plot the affected areas on a map of the UK.
