Re - the recent Homegrown Festival sponsored by XC Magazine. Thanks to some great weather, the weekend was a great success, celebrating all aspects of our sport. Flying was enjoyed at Bache Hill on both days with some 70 to 80 gliders in the air simultaneously each day. Back at the campsite at Forest Farm, there were trade stands to browse and lectures and talks given by such luminaries as Jocky Sanderson, Bruce Goldsmith and Jerome Maupoint amongst others. Onsite catering was very good and evening entertainment was provided by some excellent bands that rocked away until the early hours....phew!
