Recently a new feature raised its ugly head above the skyline near our Cwmafan site, a wind monitoring mast.
The local planning office informs me it belongs to a Spanish wind generating company and that planning application for turbines by the landowner are expected in the new year . The 200'-high mast is located a few hundred yards to the north of the transmitter aerials at the top TO (in the lee of the mountain ??)
It is worth mentioning here that this land doesn't belong to our good friend Eric Lewis, who owns the lower TO field.
