MultiMap

O.S. Reference.
SN 856 233. -  Sheet 160.

Wind Direction
East.

Height A.M.S.L.
500m 1500ft

Pilot Rating.
CP

How to get there.
From M4 junction 45 drive up the Swansea Valley on the A 4067 past Dan Yr Ogof show caves and take the Trecastle road opposite the Tafarn Y Garreg pub. After 5.5km park in the lay-by on the right.

Landowner and site fees.
There is no formal arrangement to fly here but the farmer seems happy to see us flying here so be polite if approached.

Rules.
No rules but park sensibly and dont disturb livestock.

Hazards.
In light winds it is possible to fly very low over the road, beware of traffic.
Pilots are strongly advised to use the military free phone number during the week.

Take off & landing.

Walk up the hill and take off where the hill starts to level out.
When bottom landing near the lay-by beware of the road and if gliding out beware of the trees.

Site comments.

Shallow but works well when thermic and has XC potential.
