How'd you get knocked 'off' your Motor Torpedo Boat'? A few moons ago I considered buying an old Thorneycroft to live on...............

When I got knocked of my MTB a couple of years ago the Paramidec found ICE on my phone and was able to phone my missus for me. Don't forget to put a name to your ICE contact, it diminishes the shock slightly if they can be addressed by name.

Emergency phone number

Just been forwarded an email concerning having an emergency number on your mobile phone that someone can ring if something untoward should happen.

The idea is:

Create a contact called 'ICE' with the phone number of the person you would like to be contacted.

The name 'ICE' stands for In Case of Emergency.

Apparently the idea was thought up by a paramedic.

I have no idea how wide spread this is but it's a sound idea and the more people do it and tell people the more likely it will be of use.
