6days flying sunday fochrew n merthyr monday merthyr tuesday bryn caus n pandy wednesday secret location thursday pandy friday is cwmbran ..cwmbran has to be the best day of the weeks noris picks me up at 9.30 morrisons for fuel and munchies a call to jerry and he gides us to the site by 10.30 a quick chat to jerry aboat the site and off we fly  its lift lift lift everywhere i dont remember conditions like this last yr did we have strong bumpy thermals last year?i dont think so not anywhere like these buggers!10.30 am to 5.30 pm up down up down right through the day first there were 3 later 5 reech and steve morgan arrive with beaming smiles its always nice wings in the sky when you arrive it stayed good for reech and steve .noris and i just scored more airmiles it started droping off everyones packing up whilst i enjoy a little scracthy stuff WHAT a day  ..six out of six

six out of six became 7 out of 7today hiked to aber bang on the hill had 5mins in sky when it switched to north down i go .poggy turned up and of to pontlottyn as we could see noris there i was amazed it was blowing nne and smooth wings were unpacked very quickly off to the sky boating aboat thinking this feels nice when the wind goes north.quik chat we decide north end of merthyr .on ridge it was wnw ish and strong noris gives it go .im thinking no thanks  he soon came back down ,its first time i ever heard noris say he was frightened with a smile i add.we could see wings having a go on fochrew off we go agian arive at fochrew not flying conditions i thinking so ground handling it is. soon i was flying the road near the gate a few beats then more ground handling ..the wind is now nne agian of to ponty .its bang on the hill up into the sky in mins it did not last very long i flew probably 10 mins  5mins at aber 5mins ponty 2mins fochrew an hours grond handling im cream krackered!

monday ,i leave work at 2pm made my way to merthyr with steve n paul .the wind was coming up the valley so we got our  wings out for a little ground handling .steve was grumbling and sugesting we go home ,i says noway im enjoying myself when i see,s a wing pop out n back in .imediatly steve perked he bundles his wing into the car  i decide to kite it round .all the times i bin to merthyr i never thought aboat popin round that bend lol. we played around on the ground little hops n some kiteing i manage to soar the very top of the hill gaining a little lift .i think push out a touch then beep beep beep bloody ell i am 430 mtrs off the hill  soon jioned by steve and another ,big learning curve for me i was hiting the inversion aparently there were two another at 600-700 the other pilot there got nearly 1ooomtrs very shortly vehicles were arriving what a fabulous 2 hours

mad march thermals

sunday poggy picked me up 9.30 strait to fochrew ,could see lots of activity at merthyr .we met johny n made way to the ridge perfect !easy take off strait into lift 3sky dogs attacking the mad march thermals .from above i could see paul williams edi getzi arriving with theyre students mmmm i thought!we Pete Johny n Myself zoomed around geting oooomphed into space .Tina n Bob turned up and jioned in the fun ,i could see poggy land and i thought i need a break !i looked over to merthyr it looked as if they are having fun so a quik chat and merthyr it is>blown out everyone packing up so a nice cuppa tea n a fag with jen in the new camper ,poggy decides he,s had 2luvly hours in sky he,s off home luvly chat n cuppa then grab my gear to the ridge im thinking that aint bad rig up n off i go  oooooooooyessss hooking into a thermal instantly gaing height very qikly ..noris,s wing looks nice down there im thinking very soon the sky,s full of colourfull wings <mostly ozone >joke .another 2hours geting ooomphed up mmmmmmmmmma fabulouse day  ps cheers reech for video footage
