aranged to meet with noris and john 7am at fochrew or abertwswg.had text 6.30am of noris saying he,s sat on aber the wind is bang on but light.finish my cuppa then off to aber .we waited aprox half an hour when noris decides to head for fochrew as we can see karl having more success there.john and i wait it out .the wait paid off ,ten mins later were both airborne in a nice wnw wind .24minutes of of nice soaring until the wind picked up and we were geting pinned .we both landed and watched noris and another pilot over at fochrew .they too were soon on the ground ..i wounder what  tomorrow brings?

nice one pete,

stuck my fingers up at a Euro fighter today , 500ft away, flying at my level. so glad I landed about 30 second before he flew past
I hope he listened to me shouting abuse at him!!!

scratchy day today but suprisingly sharp thermals off the beach

Merthyr .it kicked off at about 11am ,a few short flights just making it back to hill.12oclock the thermals started coming and by golly they were powerfull over 5 up several times today .id only experienced 5up once or twice ,and these babies ment business.i managed to get to 1500ft plus ato ,but! theres often a but lol,i had such a kicking i wanted to get down  ,spiraling up instead of down .big big ears it had to be ,it was a relieve to be on tera ferma.i realy wanted to go xc  hoping to get to abergavenny .another day perhaps.lost count of number off flights and airtime well over 3hours and countless walk ups lol .big up to mikey the newbie he flew and flew when more experienced guys on the ground .WELL DONE MICKEY!

arrange to meet with johny kayak at fochrew 4pm .from fochrew i could see 5or6 hangies at merthyr but no paragliders due to the fact its blowing a gale. we decide to go get a cuppa and return just after 6,30pm to find conditions have improved 16-18mph on the hill .i launch my rush into the sky and thats were i stayed for 1hr20mins fabulous. my phone is ringing its steve mogsie who has been at rhosilli all day with noris and stu .he informs me that he,s had the best days flying ever 8hours .i swore at him and switched my phone off  .lol
