Private Message & Emails Via Website

Hi all - just a small reminder about personal messages - if you reply using the website all is good - if you reply using your email system, ie outlook or hotmail etc then if you click reply without putting the persons email address in you will be sending it to webmaster@swwsc.co.uk which isn't good for me as I need to forward these on and also isn't good for your privacy as I see them!! 

So, best policy when using PM's or replying to PM's is to use the website directly or make sure you click on the link at the bottom of the email received which will open up the reply properly using the website.

As a guilty party here, I apologise for any error.  I have now realised  how this is happening.  When someone receives a personal email from someone else on the website, they type out a reply then unwittingly click on the default reply which sends it to you by mistake.  The correct thing to do of course is to click on the address shown below the message from which their personal website mailbox will duly pop up.

Recently I have been receiving emails meant for other people on the website.

What's happening is when a private message is sent, you will receive a notification. The notifications are only information and not really meant to be replied to (it says in the email not to reply)

As a result, when people are replying, it is defaulting to the website address which is my email.

I don't mind forwarding these emails, but for the sake of confidentiality, please ensure when replying to someone, you have the correct email address of the person in the TO section of the email.

Even easier is to login to the website and reply to the PM using the PM system.
