Following-on from the AGM, I'd like to remind pilots that there are only three landing options at our Rhossili site:
1/ Top TO area (nowhere else along the ridge is allowed)
2/ The Pimple
3/ The Beach
Recently it was though that the over-flow car park near the National Trust shop was an added option, this is NOT the case.
Having recently spoken to David Thomas, the owner of the field, he has not given his permission for its use as a landing area.
The field in question, as well as being prone to rotor, has a number of hazards on its approach; power cables and vehicles to name but a few.
Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to land here.
I must remind pilots that our flying at Rhossili is governed by a strict set of rules laid down by the NT, who may revoke the licence at any time if they deem PG/HG activities to be getting out of hand.
It's also worth noting here that should anyone have any ideas about protocol changes at our sites they should first contact the Committee.
