Running out of opportunities for any more flights in May!

This weekend and Bank Holiday - my prime site Dale has been invaded by an illegal rave. Obviously causing much anguish to landowners, farmers, local residents and the usual holiday visitors hoping to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Dale also just happens to be my only viable site for the week or so until more silage is cut.  :x

Just checked back through my log book to see how many flying days I had managed to get each year by the end of May:

2005  7 days (only started flying on 10/04/2005 after many years lay-off)

2006  17 days

2007  18 days

2008  10 days

2009  10 days

2010  5 days

Is this me just getting old or can I blame the weather for this year?

Update of log:

09/04/2010 From Dale: 100k / 2.75 hour tour of South Pembs in glorious spring weather - gradually getting warm enough for longer flights!

23/04/2010 Cleggars: 2 hour O/R to Laugharne passing Marros where a lone parawaiting pilot was spotted.

22/05/2010 Hodgeston: 2 x 1 hour flights - just local flying in very odd turbulence.

23/05/2010 Hodgeston: 1 hour local evening flight in a very light northerly. Very smooth air and warm enough to fly in shorts and shirt - brilliant flight.

Flown only twice so far this year - generally too damn cold for prolonged motorised flight!

23/01/10 at Dale and again 01/03/2010. Both were great outings in brilliant weather and the latest flight was completed under beautiful thermal streets - one emanating from Skomer Island and the second from Ramsey Island!
