Thought I would make the most of the calm before the storm. Headed up to Mynydd Meio at around 2.30pm to find the wind off to the north. Merthyr I thought but having just spent a couple hundred pounds getting my car fixed I didn’t fancy the assault course to Merthry take off. So having decided not to go their I headed for Cefn Eglwysilan over looking Pontypridd, a nice little site I discovered a flew for the first time earlier on in the year. After a fifteen minute walk to the top I was pleasantly rewarded with a 15-17mph wind bang on the hill. Had a lovely flight for about fifteen minutes with 6 up on the vario at one point and the odd wing tuck. Top landed and launched again but made the mistake of launching too low and had to scratch for a while until I conceded defeat and landed in the bottom field. Nice to be out again after a long absence from flying.
