If you're as lucky as I was, the bus driver will pick you up anywhere on his route, won't charge you, and will drop you off right at the end of the track...........but that,s where my luck ran out  :)

Catching the bus may well be a viable option.  Having seen buses en-route from Felindre to Garnswyllt, I have checked up on the route and timetable and it is indeed possible to park a car near any of the stops along the way(the bus runs from Swansea via Morriston, Felindre, and Garnswyllt to Pontardulais.  There is a stop at Garnswyllt School which is right near the end of the lane where we have been parking so a pilot could park up in Swansea get the bus, fly XC and have a quicker and easier return journey!  Unfortunately, there is no sunday service  but it could be done midweek or on a saturday.

I think it is a great challenge and I look forward to hearing of the first attempts!
I have attached a file containing the bus timetable.

In order for you all to be aware of the exact parking location click on link http://www.multimap.com/ and enter the following co-ordinates into the search box SN629083, think twice before parking here in future.........or catch the bus.

Parking at Graig Fawr

Following-on from an incident earlier today, when Andy H had his van maliciously damaged by an unknown party, I would advice people using Graig Fawr to think twice about where they park their vehicles. Andy having returned to the site after a short XC went back up the hill (passing his van which was parked at the side of the track near the underground reservoir). While para-waiting he heard his car alarm sounding. On reaching his van, he found that someone had smashed his windscreen and deeply scratched almost every panel of the van's bodywork. The damaged seems  to have been carried out by someone with a grudge, as there were deep cross marks etched into the bodywork as opposed to just straight forward scratch marks.
Be reminded that we fly Graig Fawr 'unofficially' and do not have the blessing of  the local Commoners' Association who rent the land. I would not advise anyone to take the law into there own hands at this time with any local farmers, it may just inflame the situation.
Anyone who suffers damage to their vehicle while parked at this site should report the matter to the Police, preferably at Gorseinon Police Station, where Andy lodged his complaint.
