Site information

Despite coastal proximity, excellent thermal trigger. Great flying when wind due-south but rough if wind off either way. Not recommended for low-airtime or rusty pilots. Huge XC potential (NOTAM/CANP weekdays)

Please DO NOT park in front of or obstruct Natural Resources Wales access barrier even on weekends.

Rules

Stay clear of masts on top. Top landings turbulent in strong conditions due to trees. Barbed wire fence at lower take-off. Power lines on approach to bottom landing. Slope landing below lower take-off has rocks concealed in bracken/brambles. Vehicle break-ins reported at Bwlch road parking

Leave M4 at J41 (J42 from west) turn onto A48. 300m southeast of Baglan roundabout, take left turning up hill past church. Drive up steep hill 1km then take lane branching right leading to Bwlch (2km), taking left at unmarked junction. At Bwlch drive up rough track on right and park next to lower takeoff field
